I’m thrilled to announce the first of three planned publications for 2026: Maya McKibbin’s I DREAMT OF U <3

I DREAMT OF U <3 by Maya McKibbin
In 2099, the air teems with invisible information, everyone has a neurolink, the cats speak, and the oceans are empty. Aurora, Tristan, and Kate, three scattered thirty-somethings, navigate being human, messy romances, world altering conspiracies, and a monumental shift in the dreamworld: an overpowering conglomerate seeks to tear it open and control it.

Maya McKibbin is a Two-Spirits multidisciplinary visual artist living on the unceded traditional territories in BC. They are Irish-settler and Ojibwe with roots in White Earth Nation, with family diaspora from Zacatecas in Mexico. They grew up in ch'atlich and later in England. When I saw Maya’a variant cover for The SIlver Coin #5, I was immediately impressed with the atmosphere and composition of the piece. I was dying to see what Maya would do with horror content in colour, so we commissioned them to do the cover for Shades of Fear and couldn’t have been happier with the result. Maya’s work is textured and bold, and I DREAMT OF U <3 promises to balance the absurd horrors of modern existence, especially for the marginalized, with a sense of humor and love of community.

Publication of I DREAMT OF U <3 is set for 2026.
